Corinne Foxx Says Her Dad Jamie Foxx Is 'Doing So Great' and 'Playing a Lot of Pickleball'

Corinne Foxx is giving a positive update on her dad Jamie Foxx.

While recently speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Corinne, 30, talked about her Oscar-winning father and upcoming wedding to fiancé Joe Hooten.

"He's doing so great, he's doing amazing," Corinne, who cohosts the Fox game show Beat Shazam with Jamie, 56, told the outlet about her dad. "[I'm] so grateful to be able to work on [Beat Shazam] with him and spend so much time with him."

"He's playing a lot of pickleball! That man and pickleball; it's like he's playing twice a day every day," Corinne added of her father's day-to-day life recently. "It's a whole thing. He's fully in it."

Corinne additionally spoke to how her fiancé Hooten, whom she became engaged to back in December 2023, won her father over while taking a vacation with the extended Foxx family in Hawaii. "We were in Hawai'i on a snorkeling tour and none of my family knows how to swim," she told the outlet. "So, we're all in the middle of the ocean [and] everyone starts drowning. One by one, my fiancé dived in, brought some back, dived in brought some back.

"My dad said, 'He's a keeper! He saved the family,' " she recalled Jamie saying.

Corinne's update on her father comes more than one month after Jamie returned to cohost Beat Shazam with her for the game show's seventh season in May. Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne previously stepped in to pinch hit for the father-daughter duo while they took a break as Jamie recovered from an undisclosed health condition he first experienced while on the set of his upcoming Netflix film Back In Action in April 2023.

“He is so busy, and back to doing what he loves," a source told PEOPLE of Jamie's return to filming the game show in April. "Jamie didn’t skip a beat on Beat Shazam. He was literally right back to his old self. Really on it!"

Jamie most recently appeared in the film Not Another Church Movie. He also has several projects in various stages of development or set to release later this year, including Back in Action with Cameron Diaz.

In March, the actor, singer and comedian also teased he may make a long-awaited return to stand-up comedy.
